Mutton leather is produced from sheepskin. It is an extremely soft leather, very lightweight and thin, perfect to produce soft unstructured styles. Its surface is similar to Deerskin while its consistency is a lot like Sorrento leather. Mutton leather is very well protected and subsequently is not subject to wearing.
We are able to use all types of backing materials so Mutton can be used to produce very structured styles.
This beautiful leather is produced by very few tanneries and the skins are small and very expensive. For these reasons it has always limited the availability in the leather goods market.
